The Under the Prairie Museum

We Regret to Announce the Closure
of the Museum, as of August 1.

Declining attendance has forced the Sangamo Archaeological Center to close the Under the Prairie exhibits to the public. The museum was intended to be supported by  the public that it served, but the sharp decline in museum attendance nationwide  has taken its toll locally. For those of you who have supported the museum, we thank you.

We encourage EVERYONE to support any and all forms of independent exhibits, services, and businesses!
Remember, all of the small things that enhance your community require your participation and engagement.
Take nothing for granted....
